Position Purpose
Petco has embarked on a journey to transform our business and is looking for team members who will lead us into the future as the leading omnichannel pet health and wellness company.
Scope
We’re looking for a Specialist, Petco Adworks Account Management to support our co-op marketing programs with consumables and supplies vendors. You will partner closely with merchants, vendor partners, and marketing centers of excellence to develop and execute end-to-end marketing plans that drive business results for both Petco and our vendors. You will ideally have previous experience with co-op/trade marketing programs and will have experience working with a variety of marketing tactics, including digital media and in-store executions. Account management skills are also a plus since you will be responsible for direct contact with 30+ vendor partners.
The Specialist, Petco Adworks Account Management will be responsible for:
Marketing Planning: Supporting the Senior Manager, Petco Adworks Account Management and collaborating with vendor partners to understand their objectives in order to craft and own the marketing strategies, integrated marketing plans, and sell in plans that drive vendor goals, as well as managing corresponding budgets for 30+ vendor partners.
Strategic Positioning: Partner with the Senior Manager, Petco Adworks Account Management and internal partners to ensure differentiated positioning for each of our vendor partners, which will be reinforced through messaging, and brought to life via world-class marketing execution
Integrated Execution: Partner with cross-functional business and marketing team members to orchestrate and execute the enterprise-wide integrated marketing activations for each of our vendor partners on time and on budget – including contract execution, brief writing, creative development, SKU and asset collection, UPC submission and creation, routing for approvals, campaign performance and monthly financial tracking.
Essential Knowledge & Skills
Education & Experience: A bachelor’s degree and 3-5 years experience, ideally in an integrated marketing, trade marketing, or account management role.
Creative Acumen: Ability to objectively evaluate creative against a strategic brief and deliver feedback in a way that clearly and effectively sets direction and inspires the team.
Relationship Management: Ability to maintain strong professional relationships with 30+ vendor partners in addition to internal merchandising and marketing partners.
Project Management: Manage timelines and key milestones for 30+ vendor partners
Financial Management: Manage multi-channel media and production budgets and reconcile spend by month and quarter.

Analyzes Problems & Issues: Gathers and analyzes the most critical information needed to understand problems. Makes decisions that take into account broad company and customer implications. Anticipates and removes obstacles, redirecting efforts to accelerate the work or improve quality.
Makes Informed Judgments: Makes sound business decisions based on insight and analysis. Chooses the best alternative based on consideration of pros, cons, tradeoffs, timing, and available resources. Makes decisions that contribute to company performance. Makes timely decisions regarding problems/issues requiring immediate attention.
Meets Customer Needs: Identifies customer trends, expectations, and needs. Ensures that feedback from customers is leveraged to identify improvement opportunities. Ensures follow-up with customers to confirm problems are solved. Continually searches for ways to improve customer service (including the removal of barriers and providing solutions).
Additional Responsibilities
Work Environment: The majority of job duties are performed while seated indoors with little or no exposure to hazards. Minor local travel by automobile to vendors or agencies may be required. Also periodic attendance at appropriate marketing conferences that help to keep you knowledgeable about the latest thinking and technology and to share best practices with other colleagues.

The pay ranges outlined below are presented in accordance with state-specific regulations. These ranges may differ in other areas and could be subject to variation based on regulatory minimum wage requirements. Actual pay rates will depend on factors such as position, location, level of experience, and applicable state or local minimum wage laws. If the regulatory minimum wage exceeds the minimum indicated in the pay range below, the regulatory minimum wage will be the minimum rate applied.
Salary Range: $76,500.00 - $114,700.00
