Your veterinary career grows here with Petco’s full-tuition scholarship opportunities. Eligible full-time employees with at least six months of service can apply to earn a:
- Veterinary Technician Associate’s Degree
- Veterinary Technology Bachelor's Degree
- Practice Manager Certificate
- Veterinary Assistant Certificate
- Veterinary Receptionist Certificate of Excellence
Each scholarship covers the full cost of tuition, giving you the resources and confidence to advance your career in veterinary medicine.

Veterinary Receptionist Certificate of Excellence
The VRCE program provides an all-round value to you and your practice, whether you’re a CSR looking to thrive and improve your career and future, a Practice Manager looking to enhance their team’s performance and capabilities, or a Practice Owner looking to capture more revenue and increase client and patient satisfaction. VRCE can do it all to elevate excellence in your practice!
Duration: Two 6-month semesters, 32 interactive self-paced e-learning courses with in-clinic work
Veterinary Assistant Certificate
Our online NAVTA-approved Veterinary Assistant Program will help you prepare for an in-demand career as a veterinary assistant. With flexible online courses, you can build your industry knowledge at your own pace and apply what you've learned at a hands-on externship.
Duration: 10-courses, 58.2 Continuing Education Units, and 1 Externship will be completed in 12-16 months.


Practice Manager Certificate
If you love animals and think managing a veterinary practice would be a great career for you, pursue that passion with Penn Foster’s online accredited Veterinary Practice Management Certificate Program.
Taught by expert faculty with engaging visual learning aids and interactive assessments to help you practice as you go.
Duration: This 7-course, 19-credit certification can be completed in 12-14 months.
Registered Veterinary Technician (Associates)
Pursue your passion for working with animals and prepare for an in-demand career in veterinary healthcare with Penn Foster's online Veterinary Technician Associate degree. This self-paced, online AVMA-accredited vet tech courses allow you to study on your own time, using visual learning aids and interactive assessments to help prepare you for a rewarding career as a veterinary technician.
The Veterinary Technician Associate degree syllabus consists of online vet tech classes covering topics like pharmacology, clinical pathology and parasitology, anesthesia, imaging, laboratory procedures, and much more. This program will prepare you to work as veterinary technicians in small or large animal hospitals or clinics and to prepare you to take the Veterinary Technician National Examination.
Duration: 4 semesters, 72-credits, 36-48 months


Veterinary Technology Bachelor's Degree
The online Veterinary Technologist Bachelor of Applied Sciences Degree helps to prepare you to take your veterinary career to the next level. With more advanced courses, you can build skills that can allow you to specialize in a specific area of veterinary medicine or help you stand out for higher-level roles in clinics and hospitals. To prepare students for additional career pathway opportunities above and beyond the entry level general practice opportunities afforded by an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology. These would include both additional clinical opportunities as well as hospital management opportunities.
Duration: 4 semesters, 8-12 months per semester, 23 courses 26 exams.
