If you mixed a steadfast commitment to leadership with a dash of soul music and the humor of old comedy movies like Airplane!, you might get Paul Murray. As the Area Operations Manager for the Illinois/Wisconsin market, Paul brings a unique blend of personality and purpose to the Vetco Total Care team.

Paul first joined Petco in 2020 as a District Manager, before transitioning to Vetco Total Care.

"My love for pets led me to the pet industry years ago, and I moved into veterinary medicine in 2022, looking to expand my knowledge and support those who care for pets."

For Paul, the "why" behind the work is simple:

"I'm proud that we've built a strong culture of pet care and supporting each other as priorities. This leads to business results; never the reverse."

Outside of the clinic, he is an avid photographer and outdoorsman who spends his time camping, hiking and landscaping. He actively encourages his teams to find that same balance, pursuing their passions to stay recharged. Paul is a firm believer that high-quality care starts with happy, supported team members.

Fun Fact: Paul doesn't just dabble in photography. If you see him, ask him about his digital archives. He has over 50,000 photos filed and saved for family and friends!
