Dr. Tony Nauta, Area Medical Director

Dr. Tony Nauta is a native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, earning both his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science and his DVM from Louisiana State University. He spent five years in mixed animal general practice before transitioning to small animal emergency medicine in Lafayette, Louisiana.

As an Area Medical Director for Vetco Total Care, Dr. Nauta is passionate about building relationships with veterinarians and supporting professionals at every stage of their careers. He is a strong advocate for autonomous medicine, professional growth, work-life balance, and creating an environment where veterinary teams can thrive.

Dr. Nauta is married to his wonderful wife, Melanie, and they have two sons along with their sweet terrier, Roxi. Outside of work, Tony enjoys the outdoors, fishing, cooking (and eating), LSU sports, and traveling. His family loves exploring National Parks and is excited to call Utah home, with countless adventures right in their backyard.
